Faculty Information
     Approximately 51% of the teaching staff have masters degrees or the equivalent with an average of 10 years of experience.

Unique Assets

  • An outstanding PTA , which boasts 100% annual membership, actively supports Northwood Elementary. Generous financial donations, as well as over 21,000 volunteer hours per year, provide significant support.
  • The Northwood Board of Directors enriches the learning experiences of our students and acts as a liaison between the school and 12 business partners.
  • The Northwood Foundation comprised of commiunity leaders, the school principal, and a PTA liaison, is a tax-exempt, educational fund foundation for special funding for Northwood.
History
     In August 1996, Northwood opened its doors as a superior community school. Traditions of excellence shape the school climate as Northwood is a leader in parent involvement, unique programs, and business partnerships.
